Hailes Abbey

This is a 13th century Cistercian abbey founded in 1246. It was once a celecbrated site of pilgrimage as the monks had a vial that was said to contain the blood of christ.
The abbey ruins boast dramatic cloister arches and a small museum can be found on site.
