Whether you’re looking for a cosy night out full of soulful sounds or to drown your sorrows in the midst of a few thousand like-minded eardrums you can be assured of a great night out. Maroon 5 or marooned with a desert island disc that only you could choose, Franz Ferdinand or Franz Kafka with a spot of modern jazz in the background, listening to The Strokes while pulling a few of your own, it’s all there for the taking.

Course, if you’re like me and still waiting for The Bay City Rollers to make a comeback, you may have to make do with the local tribute band, but hey... that doesn’t mean you can’t still dress for the occasion..
