Museums and Stately Homes
Having been single for a long time I recently asked my mother what I should do to find the perfect partner. The advice was to to look at the modern meeting places of supermarket, museum, and art gallery.
The idea, apparently, was that I'd meet someone intelligent, sophisticated, good sense of humour and who could cook... so you can imagine her surprise when I brought home a chicken with a keen interest in Picasso's blue period.
Thankfully, most of you will be looking for a little more culture, a little more learning, and a little more fascination than I. Bath beats at the cultural heart of England and has so much choice that the most difficult decision is choosing where to start.Museum of costume in Bath, The Museum of East Asian Art, The American Museum, then of course there is The Holburn Museum, within a short drive you have two Military and Air Museums, Fleet Air Arm Museum and the Weston Helicopter Museum and of course can also visit Haynes Motor Museum which houses the largest collection of cars from around the world, so whether its Heritage or History there is nowhere that has so much to share than Bath and surrounding areas.
