The scenic 18-hole Marlwood Course, maintained to the highest standards and in excellent condition all year round, features a 6,308-yard layout that golfers of all abilities will enjoy playing.
The combination of stunning views and an enjoyable golfing challenge are perfectly married on the elevated 1st tee, a par-5 hole that requires thought and a strategic approach to ensure a good score to start to the round.
The course rides the hills high above the Severn Estuary and the clear West Country air will fill your lungs and prepare you for the Marlwood Course’s demanding closing stretch.
Thornbury Golf Centre also boasts the Severn View Course, a stunning par-3 layout, renowned as one of the most beautiful and enjoyable short courses in the UK.
With tees, fairways and greens maintained to the same high standards as the Marlwood Course, the layout is ideal for a quick, time-saving 9- or 18-hole round. It’s also the perfect place for beginners to learn the sport, for families to enjoy a fun game or for the accomplished golfer to polish up their short-game skills.
On top of all this a floodlit, covered, 25-bay driving range provides the ideal opportunity to practice or warm up before taking on either course.
Following the round golfers can unwind in the spacious clubhouse, and relax with a drink and bite to eat. And those with more time to spare can spend the night in Thornbury Lodge, a converted farmhouse providing 11 individually designed bedrooms.
Away from the golf courses the magnificent Marlwood suite can accommodate 40 people, rising to 190 when combined with the Course View room, that is perfect for weddings, private parties and business meetings.
The Marlwood – that is equipped with the latest LCD projectors, motorised screens and surround sound as well as HD DVD player and Sky HD – enjoys stunning panoramic views over Thornbury’s magnificent golf courses thanks to its array of glass walls.
A further conference room can accommodate up to 50 delegates making it perfect for small meetings, lectures, auctions, business breakfasts and seminars.
Hand-made lunches, snacks and refreshments are all available from the main restaurant, and buffets can be provided in the conference rooms
